Beach Soccer Foundation fully invested in the UAE

The Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup has become a mainstay in Dubai but so have the charitable works of the Foundation

In the business of unforgettable experiences, the Beach Soccer Foundation has long since been a giant in the sport. The charity foundation has been running activites and events, like the one held today, for years. The UAE is hosting the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup Dubai 2015, and in accordance with Samsung and Beach Soccer Worldwide, the Beach Soccer Foundation brought together beach soccer officials, players, coaches, and disabled youth, all to learn, more than a little, and to play on the sand. Everyone had a blast and it brought out competitive spirit along with the best in everyone involved.

The Foundation Director, Santi Soler, understands the importance of such work, saying, “We love giving  back to the community and it is great to feel what the community does for us; it is a blessing to be able to do this and it gives us great satsifaction seeing the joy we can bring with such a simple act. This clinic helped to bring the beach soccer family closer together and joins us in ways that are impossible to duplicate.” The importance was not lost on the players either, which represented every single team in the tournament, the UAE, Argentina, Russia, Portugal, Tahiti, Iran, Mexico, and Egpyt.

All the teams play everyday in the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup but the players and team representatives were more than happy to help with the clinic and take time out of their busy days. The players spent time teaching the kids to lift the ball off the sand, pass, and shoot, all like the pros. The captain for Argentina, Franceschini, was one of the stars in attendance and he went on to say, through a translator, “The truth is that this activity is indescribable, so amazing. We are just as happy as the kids are and it is a joy to see their smiles.” Not only did the children find happiness on the pitch but so did all participating members.

In such an important event, on the last day of group play, it was the Iranaian, M. Moradi, who explained, “It has been an unforgettable morning helping with these boys and girls and it definitely makes us feel good.” The good feelings will not stop there as the beach soccer continues through Saturday, but that pales in comparision to the more than exciting Thursday morning at the Dubai International Marine Club.
