La Albiceleste saw off Brazil in the final in Paraguay on Sunday
The Argentine national beach soccer team became the undefeated champion of the U20 South American CONMEBOL – Paraguay 2019, after defeating Brazil in the final 5-3, in an exciting game that was played this Sunday, at the Pynandi World Cup stadium in the city of Luque
Pomar, Cipolleta; Blumberg, González and Ponzetti – the tournament’s MVP – were the Argentines’ scorers, who claimed the crown with a perfect unbeaten run.
Brazil, who took second place, netted three times in the final with goals from Thiago, Alisson and Moreira. The Canarinha failed to defeat Argentina in either of the two games in which they faced each other.
Paraguay, meanwhile, defeated Peru in the third-place play-off to climb onto the podium, leaving la Blanquirroja in fourth place.
