Argentina and Uruguay, on level terms?

Albiceleste flies to Copa Lagos after having won one game and lost another to the Charrúa, in double friendly held last weekend

Just some days before Argentina hits the sand in Lagos to take part in the Copa Lagos 2012, the Albiceleste took on Uruguay faced on a double-leg friendly game this weekend, with Petrasso?s lads and the Celeste side seizing one victory each. Both teams are trying to make the most of their training ahead the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013 – CONMEBOL Qualifier to be held in Merlo (Argentina) next January, and the old enemy is always a really valuable demanding test…

The friendly fixtures were played on Argentinean soil, at the AFA headquarters in Ezeiza (Buenos Aires), with the hosts starting on a winning note (5-3). The Charrúa side counteracted on Sunday, with an excellent performance by team dynamo Pampero, and edged the Albiceleste 3-4.    

After the matches this last weekend, Uruguay flew back to the Arenas del Plata Stadium, in Playa Pocitos, to keep training to get to the continental qualifier in February in their best shape. Argentina, in turn, is ready to travel to Nigeria, where they are to experience a really demanding tournament with the Copa Lagos. The Sand Eagles, Lebanon and Portugal await?
