16 teams already confirmed for the Asian Beach Games!

The II Asian Beach Games are just around the corner. Just 63 days to go for this huge Asian Sport Meeting, held this next December in the Omani Capital, Muscat. Everything at the Al Musannah Sports City is getting ready to host the second edition of this pan Asian appointment on the sand, where beach soccer is one of the key events. None of the national associations wants to be sidelined from this great sport and beach festival, and up to 16 teams have registered so far, yet a month before the inscription window closes.

Among the outfits that have booked their place by the Arabian Sea we find Continental and International powerhouses such as UAE, Bahrain, Japan or hosts Oman, together with the consistent national sides of Iran, China, Indonesia, Qatar, India, KSA, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Uzbekistan, Thailand or Yemen. Far more than enough ingredients to serve the best spectacle…

 

Thousands of athletes involved

The Asian Beach Games is a multi-sport event sanctioned by the Olympic Council of Asia and held every 2 years, being the first edition organized in Bali, Indonesia, 18-26 October 2008. The Games encourage Asia’s youth to participate in sport and celebrate the vast and varied cultures found across the continent. It works to uplift national pride and create a festival of cooperation and camaraderie.

The Asian Beach Games are composed of a variety of modern sports as well as variations on traditional sports.  More than 2.000 athletes from the 45 Asian countries are involved in the event.
