BSWW Cancun Cup 2012
Elite Beach Soccer is heading for the Atlantic sands of Mexico, with Cancun getting ready to host a top-class International event. Next February 10th-12th, the Beach Soccer Worldwide Cancun Cup 2012 will bring the flashing action of the finest Beach Soccer to the Mexican Caribbean for the first time. Mexico, El Salvador, the USA and Spain will come down to the Sunset Royal Hotel Beach, where a 3.000-seater stadium is already being set up, to deliver a stunning spectacle to catch the eye of the sport’s supporters there.
The competition, with a four-team round robin format, guarantees strong emotions, as some of the biggest guys in the CONCACAF Beach Soccer panorama will hit the sand to clash in a fratricidal struggle. Through a terrifically competitive approach, the Azteca side will look to assert their condition as hosts and continental rulers, but things are not going to be easy at all for Ramón Raya and his lads. One of the sensations of the whole continent, El Salvador, will fight until the end to prove what made them reach last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup semifinals and forget last defeat in the Qualifier final of Puerto Vallarta.
Neighbours USA will also be in Cancun, playing their role as another of the chiefs of the continent and turn again into one of the biggest nightmares for Raya’s side. To top the party up, Spain will bring some of the Old-Continent Beach Soccer magic right from the other end of the Atlantic Ocean, in what stands as their very step into the year, right before seeing the Euro Beach Soccer Cup in Russia kick the competitive European season off.
The experience beyond the ball
As absolutely acknowledged, in Beach Soccer magic does not end when the referee whistles the match over, and crowd in Cancun will get a new first-hand instance of that in the Beach Soccer Worldwide Cancun Cup 2012. There is a lot to add to the players tricks: the music, the party atmosphere, the lovely beach setting, the beautiful dancers providing the spectacle further rhythm and taste…
Moreover, in the tournament’s framework, different events will take place, such as parties, activities by The Beach Soccer Foundation aiming at supporting the misfortune children and fighting for the beaches environmental preservation, or a funny Celebrity Match, to happen on Sunday 10th, and involving well-known faces from Mexican sport’s sphere, TV and Music which will be known soon.
