Uruguay uses final period to pull away from England

In the second match between the two nations the South Americans rebounded from their opening match loss

The 5-3 win for Uruguay over England was a bit of revenge for the loss they took on Tuesday. The game was very tightly contested and the match was close throughout. The two teams were level late in the 2nd and then Uruguay surged in the final frame to put the match out of reach. The teams will face off in the rubber match on Thursday, with both squads looking to finish this exciting series with a win and some bragging rights.

England and Uruguay opened the match feeding off of each other, as one squad cranked up their defense, so did the other. As one side began attacking, so did the other and the period ended with the score level at one. After exchanging blows in the opening minutes of the middle frame, Uruguay scored the last goal of the period to go up by one heading into the final break. The momentum was noticeable visible in the opening minutes of the final frame as the South American side used two goals to keep the English at bay and secure the victory.
