The Copa Latina, first appointment in the Beach Soccer calendar for this exciting 2011, is almost here. The competition, holding this year its XII edition has become a traditional key event in the Beach Soccer season, and the Rio Quente Resorts (Goiás) are ready to host the battle again on January 28th to 30th.
For this upcoming edition, Brazil will try to get their crown back after being surprisingly snatched by unbelievable Chileans last year. To do so, the canarinha will need to be better than CONMEBOL powerhouses Argentina and Uruguay and the recently crowned CONCACAF champions Mexico. Despite last edition’s big surprise, indeed, verdeamarela’s records in the competition remain incomparable, with nine victories out of eleven. Only Portugal, apart from the aforementioned Chile, managed to seize the Cup from Brazilian soil.
The matches will be broadcasted live through Brazilian SportTV and Globo, and, of course, the fixtures can be watched live through www.beachsoccer.com.
