Tahiti will dance to the rythm of Tu?e Popo

The Official song for the upcoming FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was chosen this last weekend, with Sabrina?s Theme as the winner

The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiri 2013 already has its official song. After the contest held last weekend in Papeete, ?Tu?e Popo?, by the local artist Sabrina, was designated as the event?s official theme.

The jury, headed by M. John Teai, member of the Managing Board of the Local Organizing Committee, chose Sabrina?s song out of four themes, all of them from Polynesian artists. Close to a thousand people enjoyed the ceremony in the Grand Theatre de la Maison de la Culture of the Tahitian capital.

The musicality, the recognizable local sonorities (ukulele), the words referring to the World Cup, and the charm and enthusiastic performance by Sabrina helped the jury choose this song as the Official Song for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti 2013.

Across its lines, the artist invites the worldwide stars to come and take part in the event and do their best on the Tahiti sand: « Tout le monde veut jouer, tout le monde veut gagner. Everybody wants to play, everybody wants to win ».
