Tahiti impress in Costa del Sol

The Tiki Toa get on top of the table of the Copa Pílsener, as Ecuador upset the hosts in the opening day

The current World Cup runner-up, Tahiti, showcased an powerful and effective beach soccer to outgun CONCACAF kings Panama in the opening game of this Copa Pílsener Fútbol Playa El Salvador. 

The Polynesian made things really tough for the Panamanian, giving them no chance at all. The braces by old rockers Naea Bennett and Teva Zaveroni, with the contribution of Heimanu Taiarui, adding two more, and Tepa, had things arranged for the Tiki Toa. 

Panama tried to fight back, but their spirited approach merited nothing more than cutting the distance up to 6-3, seconds before Taiarui finished the game with the 7-3. 

 

Ecuador gives El Salvador a harsh opening

In the second game of the day, Ecuador upset the hosts in a thrilling match. 

The Salvadorans pulled themselves together after the 3-0 by Ecuador, and equalized the game with just five minutes to go. 

Unfortunately for the hosts, though, that story would not end as they would have loved to, as Gallegos sealed his second of the day to ruin the Cuscatleco expectations.
