The Euro Wiiners Cup is ready to kick off tomorrow, as the representatives of the Comune di San Benedetto, Federazione Italiana Gioco Calcio ? Lega Nazionalle Dilettanti and Beach Soccer Worldwide made official today in a press conference held at the council of the hosting city.
Both the LND president, Carlo Tavecchio, the Asssessore Allo Sport del Comune de Terracina, Marco Curzi and the General Manager of Beach Soccer Worldwide, Gabino Renales, agreed on the importance of the event, stressing the fact that Italy has been chosen as the venue for this maiden edition of the Euro Winners Cup: ?The FIGC was the first european Football Association to officially recognize and implement Beach Soccer, and that was really important for the sport as we have today overcome the number of 120 FAs involved in the sport. This is why it made full sense to host this competition here?, assured Renales.
In Italy, San Benedetto has been one of the most supportive cities to the national championship and has even made a step further with the ?intelligent Stadium? they are projecting in the city. This state-of-the-art facility was also presented today, in the framework of the Euro Winners Cup. The SABBIA (Smart Arena Best Beach Innovation Available), is intended to maximize the technology and the environmental consciousness directives to create a ?stadium that offers 360-degree amusement possibilities both for citizens and tourists?, Gianfranco Coppola (delegate USSI all?AIPS).
