Second stage of the day leaves more questions than certainties

The results of this second stage of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier second day of have left many things to be solved tomorrow, in the last day of the group stage. France seem to have it at their hands in group F, Greece, almost the same in group B. A Spanish victory in their match against the Netherlands would practically give them the ticket. 

More difficult to predict will group A be, with Germany down the table but with the opportunity of causing a triple-draw if they win hosts Italy in their fixture tomorrow.

Besides, Hungary will be really attentive to the match between Switzerland and Ukraïne. After the points drawn by the Magyar from the penalty spot, only a Ukrainian victory would leave them on top of group E.

 

Mari’s hat-trick not enough against Ottoman power (3-6)

Turkey have quickly got even for the defeat they suffered against hosts Italy yesterday. Vedat Uysal’s team have beaten Germany in the struggle for the best position in group A of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier, in a really exciting match in which the Mannshaft could neutralize Turkey’s advantage up to twice, always being Mari the headlamp. But they could not do it for a third time.

Indeed, German’s 10 gave the first and only advantage to the Teutonic, in which was to be the first of his three goals today. Not even two minutes afterwards, Sinç got the equalizer, to see teammate Eriten complete the comeback just seconds before the first break. The penalty shootout gives Hungary the points (5-5)

The Hungarian National team has achieved two points that make it five for the Magyar at the head of the table in group E, still waiting for the result of the other fixture of the group between Switzerland and Ukraine. Today’s game have been a strong proof of Hungary’s hunger and spirit, since they got the victory in the penalty shootout after a great comeback at the last minutes of the game.

Hungary scored the equalizer at the second minute of the second stage, but Belarus reacted again to put even more distance on the scoreboard than before. Every goal by the Hungarian was firmly replied by the Belarusian, who wanted not to miss the opportunity to arrange things after their defeat yesterday.

But Hungary gave their best in the third period to equal the game 5-5, what led both teams to extra time. After the three minutes of real game, score did not move, so the penalty shootout was the only way to disentangle the result.

Hungary proved more certain from the 9 meter spot, and that gave them the final victory. Badalik, Ughy, Fekete and Simonyi did not fail in their duty, nor did Kavalenka, Iuchanka and Husakou for the Belarusian side. Unfortunately for them, Bryshtsel cannot tell the same.

 

New victory pushes Greece ahead of group B (6-2)

After their brilliant victory against the Netherlands in this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier opening match, Greece continue their winning path. This time, the Greek have beaten Bulgaria after a great performance by Paris, one of their stars, who scored a hat-trick.

After the goal, Kazakhistan’s spirit and stamina decreased drastically, and Nemec’s team began collecting goal after goal, to end second period 6-2 up. Kazakhstan were two tired in the third stage to offer a strong resistance, and the Czechs extended their advantage with two more goals.

 

France wins the goal festival (10-8)

France and Azerbaijan have offered the most spectacular amount of goals of this FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier. The crowd congregated on the stands of the stadium on Bibione’s beach sand has witnessed the amazing amount of 18 goals, with a final result of 10-8 for the French.

Although the goal torrent and the tight result, France have almost always had the match under control. Their demolishing first period has put them 5-1 up in the score, thanks to the goals by Basquasie, Pagis , Sciortino and the couplet by Samoun. Azerbaijan tried to put things a little more difficult, but they only found the prize of a single goal, scored by Guliyev, that meant the momentary 3-1.

It was in the second stage that the Azeri got closer to the French on the scoreboard, making it up to 6-4, but Cantona’s lads did not let their opponent surprise them and kept on scoring goals, to always keep a benefit of two or three goals until the end of the match. These three new points leave France ahead of group F, so it is in their hands to make way to the next stage.
