Messi trusts beach training for fastest recovery

Football stars, as well as many other sportsmen and sportswomen take the best advantage of the benefits of the beach for their physical preparation. As experts point, the beach sand is an ideal surface to reinforce articulations and recover from joint injuries thanks to its instability and irregularity. The last one to jump onto it again has been Lionel Messi. The FC Barcelona superstar, who got his ankle injured in the last weekend’s game against Atlético de Madrid, will miss no time to get out of the sickbay as soon as possible. And the medical services of his club, with Dr. Pruna ahead, pointed the most effective way: training on the beach.

The Argentinean footballer will soon begin his work on the sand, combining continuous running and jumping exercises with passing and shot moves, and ball handling circuits. This will help him recover the strength in his ankle, as well as will allow him to keep his muscle tone.

It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that the world’s best footballer goes training to the beach for a fast and satisfactory recovery. It was in last December, in Abu Dhabi, that Messi achieved miracle betterment thanks to his exercising on the sand. Just seven days after suffering a level 2 ankle strain in Kiev, Barcelona’s number 10 played a key role in his team victory over Atlante in the FIFA Clubs World Cup semifinal.
