Italy continues strong play against England

Second day in Manchester includes even more excitement and goals as Italy bests England

The 5-3 win for the Italian side was much tighter than the final score indicated, though Italy played extremely well and got better as the game progressed. The win for Italy was their second in as many days and they will play their final match against England on Saturday. The English side took an early lead and played well throughout but the Italian attack was too strong and in the end, they came up short of victory.

England and Italy have always been known for their high energy play, and today they out-did themselves in the opening period. England played particularly fast-paced and kept the Italians on their heels. The English scored first and the only goal of the period to go up 1-0 at the break. The intensity in the middle frame was ramped up as both teams scored, but Italy used to early goals to take a one goal lead in to the final period. Italy seemed to grow stronger as the match went on and the final period was the culmination of that strength. The Italians turned a one goal lead into a three goal advantage, before settling on a two goal difference for the victory.
