England completes miraculous comeback for draw

Last minute goal and a last second penalty highlight the final match between England and Germany

The 3-3 draw between England and Germany was a nail-biter throughout and had the most exciting end to a match you could hope for as a fan. Germany scored first and while the English responded, it looked as though the Germans would run away with the match, going up by two goals very late in the game. England showed their character and scored twice in the final minute, the last one on a penalty kick that could not have been any closer to the buzzer sounding, to draw with Germany.

Germany played on their heels for much of the first frame, with England in full attack mode. The British were not able to score and the Germans used their defense and strong goalkeeping to lead the counter attack, which resulted in a direct kick goal, the first and only of the period. The middle frame was a much more offensive period for the German squad although they were unable to score on the chances they were creating. In a reversal of play form the first period, England used their counter attack to create a beautiful cross and finish to tie the game at one going into the final break. The Germans utilized the final period to assert their will on the Three Lions and scored two goals to go up 3-1 heading into the final minute. Just when it looked as England would falter, they slotted home a goal in the final minute and then connected on a last second penalty to draw even with Germany.
