3 teams stay perfect at Libertadores

Hosts Universidad Autonoma, defending champions Vasco da Gama and Brazilian Sampaio Correa top groups in Asunción

Universidad Autonoma from Paraguay and Brazilian representatives Vasco da Gama and Sampaio Correa are the eventual leaders of the three groups at the Copa Libertadores Futbol Playa, following two wins in the first two games.

The defending champions, Vasco da Gama, are leaving Little room for doubt in Asunción (Paraguay) having bent their biggest contenders in the group already. After beating Universidad Arturo Prat from Chile (3-6) the defending South-American kings thrashed Uruguay’s Club Malvin (10-1) in the second matchday, making it 6 points out of 6.

Compatriots Sampaio Correa have lead a similar performance so far. A 3-7 win over Paraguayan Garden Club, followed by a stunning 13-1 over Monagas Difalo from Venezuela have the Tricolor commanding the table in Group C.

Hosts Universidad Autonoma, with national hero Pedro Morán ahead, remain unbeaten in the competition, too. The Guaraní forward has contributed with 7 goals to his team’s wins, eventually topping the top-scorers chart, followed by Vasco’s Lucão.

Competition will resume today, with the last of the group-stage days. Stay connected to beachsoccer.com for the latest updates.
