BSWW Mundialito 2013

Dog days of summer? Not in Portugal, as the Lusitanian coast experiences one of the most exciting Beach Soccer parties worldwide in the middle of its summer: The BSWW Mundialito, which comes back with its XVIIIth edition and one significant change: For the first time, the Beach Soccer Worldwide Mundialito will be held in Gaia (Porto), Portugal. Gaia will also be the sight of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2015. This can´t miss event, starting on July 26th, 2013, will give the world a chance to see some of the immaculate facilities, beaches, and views that will be home to the next FIFA World Cup. The Beach Soccer Worldwide Mundialito is a historic Beach Soccer tournament whose roots can be traced all the way back to Brazil as early as 1994. This year will mark the XVIIIth time this illustrious tournament has taken place, comprised with four of the best sides in the world, as always. This year, Spain, Italy, Japan, and the hosts, Portugal, square off for one of the most coveted trophies in the global panorama. Portugal is the reigning champion of the Beach Soccer Worldwide Mundialito and would like nothing better than to defeat their competition for a second straight year. With the idea of avenging their loss from last year in the final, Neighbouring Spain, defending champions of the European Qualifier for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, will be trying to upset the hosts this time around. From the other edge of the world comes Japan, a team that has not missed a single FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. The Nippon will look to defeat the mighty Portuguese, Italians, and Spanish in route to a cup in which they are fighting for the first time. In turn, Italy, a country with a rich Beach Soccer history, will aim to dethrone the Portuguese and beat anyone in their way.
